The Mineral Musou Horizon is the result of 1.5 years of thoughtful design, inspired by the calm strength of the White Cliffs of Dover and the resilience they came to symbolise during the Battle of Britain. It’s a watch defined by contrast, clarity, and enduring character.
Its centrepiece is a natural white quartz stone dial, selected for its soft transulcence and organic texture, echoing the raw beauty of the chalk cliffs. Framed by a polished metal ring and elevated above a deep Musou Black base, the dial evokes Dover’s stark face rising above dark waters, recalling the coastline in the tense hours of wartime.
Tributes to the RAF’s Battle of Britain plotting clock appear in the rotating red, yellow, and blue date wheel, a blue-tipped seconds hand, and a yellow gold plated triangle at 12. Assembled in the UK by Horologium and paired with a custom Italian leather strap, the Mineral Musou Horizon expresses British heritage through bold, purposeful design.

A process driven by our desire to create something that truly honours the past while standing firmly in the present. From the precision of Battle of Britain clock to the quiet strength of the White Cliffs of Dover, every element in Horizon tells a story. DESIGN INSPIRATION
TRIANGLE
The Battle of Britain sector clock was a key tool in RAF operations rooms, used to track enemy aircraft and coordinate responses. Its dial was split into red, yellow, and blue segments, each marking five-minute intervals. As time passed, colour-coded markers on plotting tables showed when and where aircraft were sighted, helping commanders act with speed and precision. Elements of this system are echoed in the Horizon watch.

Few landscapes are as recognisable, or as texturally rich as the White Cliffs of Dover. To honour the weathered surface, we chose natural white quartz: an organic material with subtle translucence and gentle grain, echoing the cliffs’ raw, chalky character

The Horizon’s caseback showcases a sculpted 3D silhouette of the Dover Cliffs. This is brought to life with contrast deep-polished and sandblasted finishes, capturing the cliffs’ dramatic beauty and the watch’s meticulous craftsmanship.

THE FLOATING MINERAL DIAL
Creating a layered dial whilst satisfying our strict slim case profile requirements provided an engineering challenge considering natural quartz's brittle nature at our thickness tolerances (0.45mm). After extensive material research however, its soft translucence, gentle grain, and organic texture proved the most elegant reflection of the cliffs.
Creating a layered dial whilst satisfying our strict slim case profile requirements provided an engineering challenge considering natural quartz's brittle nature at our thickness tolerances (0.45mm). After extensive material research however, its soft translucence, gentle grain, and organic texture proved the most elegant reflection of the cliffs. Set above a Musou Black base absorbing 99.4% of visible light, the natural quartz appears to float, creating a dial both grounded and weightless.
18 CARAT GOLD PLATED TRIANGLE
Plated in 18-carat gold to an exceptional 10-micron thickness, the triangle suitably honours the Battle of Britain. Above it, the number “12” is painted in black, set in a custom font inspired by the original clock and carefully adjusted for this project.
THE HANDS
The hands are CNC-machined resulting in three-dimensional depth. Their precise angles and mirror-polished, chamfered edges catch the light strikingly. This interplay of polish and angles adds visual depth and refinement, enhancing the dial’s presence on the wrist.
THE INTEGRATED Strap
The Italian suede leather strap is custom-fitted to the case, creating a seamless transition with no visible gap. This smooth integration enhances comfort, wearability, and visual harmony.
DIMENSIONS
The 39.5mm case suits both smaller and larger wrists, offering a poised balance of comfort and presence. Its refined scale gives the Horizon a natural elegance.

Protecting the dial is a double-domed sapphire crystal that enhances both durability and visual depth. The anti-reflective coating minimises glare, ensuring the dial’s captivating details remain sharp in any light.
assembly & regulation partnership
Each Horizon is hand-assembled and regulated in Maidenhead by Horologium UK, Britain’s leading specialist in mechanical watch assembly and regulation. As part of this process, the Horizon’s premium Miyota 9015 calibre is individually adjusted and examined by Horologium’s technicians to ensure optimal precision and long-term stability.
